HZ premiere with Tero Saarinen Company
“Noise … is both a thing and a relationship between things.”
– Aaron Cassidy and Aaron Einbond, 2013
Hz is a new group work by choreographer Johanna Nuutinen. The work premieres at Tanssin Talo’s Erkko Hall 31.3.2022 in Helsinki. The audience will deep dive into sound waves – to a zone where hearing becomes experiencing. In Hz, underwater sound pollution acts as a metaphor for the sensory stimuli of the modern world.
Hz is the first piece commissioned for Tero Saarinen Company by another choreographer. It is part of a double bill, featuring a new interpretation of Tero Saarinen’s iconic solo HUNT (2002).
